Images from the 1996 Erik Ilott Memorial Tour, Warwick, September 1996
Here are some scanned photographs from the latest National Erik Day, an annual joint venture of Bristol Morris
Men and Earlsdon Morris Men in
honour of the late Erik Ilott. This year's tour, on September 14th, took us to Warwick, and an alarmingly large number of public houses.
Earlsdon starting off the day's dancing outside "The Foresters".
All clogged up!

Bristol's Horse decided he wanted to go to the races!

Bristol Morris Men's fool, Antony Gay, being the "Pig" in the Midden, outside the Shire Hall.

The end of an Oddington stick dance.

Dancing in the park, Earlsdon recruited our John Maher for a dance. Now, if they ask
really nicely, we might consider their having him on a free transfer...

Horse decided a paddle was in order. Note that nobody around the pool seems in the least
bit surprised by his activities!

Bristol celebrated the day as is their wont, with a human pyramid.

Purely for comparison purposes, here's an old photo of another of Bristol's pyramids, taken at the
second Isle of Wight Ring Meeting back in the 80s. Note that many of the faces in the Warwick picture are the same,
only older (and in some cases balder).

Out with a bang!
